Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2:
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 3:
Heat olive oil in a skillet and lightly sear chicken on both sides until golden.
Step 4:
Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
Step 5:
In the same skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
Step 6:
Stir in crushed tomatoes, cream, oregano, and paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 7:
Pour tomato cream sauce over chicken and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 8:
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce is bubbly.
Step 9:
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.
