Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and crumbled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth or water
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Step 1:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 2:
Add onion and sauté until soft.
Step 3:
Stir in garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, and oregano. Cook until fragrant.
Step 4:
Add crumbled tofu and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly browned.
Step 5:
Pour in vegetable broth and simmer for 5 minutes until flavors combine and moisture reduces.
Step 6:
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7:
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro.
Step 8:
Use immediately as taco filling.
