Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ cups crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- 3 cups seafood or vegetable broth
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Step 1:
Heat butter or olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft.
Step 2:
Add garlic and paprika; cook until fragrant.
Step 3:
Stir in crushed tomatoes and broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4:
Lower heat and add cream, stirring gently.
Step 5:
Add shrimp and cook for 4–5 minutes until pink and tender.
Step 6:
Season with salt and pepper.
Step 7:
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.
