Apple Pie Cake

2 1/3 Gluten Free Baking Flour or all purpose
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1 tsp kosher salt
2 apples peeled and core removed, chopped
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup butter room temp
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup walnuts chopped
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 cup milk


Ingredients for Cream Cheese Frosting
16oz cream cheese
1 cup of butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups powdered sugar
Beat in a mixer until smooth and decorate your cake.

NOTE: Apple Pie Filling, my from scratch recipe or a 21oz can of premade apple pie filling.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8″ cake pans with nonstick baking spray (will fit a 9×13 too). In a mixing bowl mix the sugars, egg and butter for 3 mins. Add the milk, applesauce and vanilla. Add all the dry ingredients. Fold in the walnuts and apples.


Bake until the toothpick comes out clean approx. 30-35 minutes. The tops will be lightly browned. Cool completely. You can make this a two layer or cut the cakes down the center to create a four layer cake. Add some of the pie filling in between each layer and frost the outside with cream cheese. Top with apple pie filling and enjoy!
