Beef Stew

You can make this is a slow cooker as well in the oven

Ingredients

3 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes

2 tablespoons flour

salt and pepper

1 pound small potatoes cut in half

1 pound carrots cut up

6 cloves garlic cloves presses or chopped

two bay leaves

3 cups water

one cup beef stock

Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: In a Dutch oven with a tight fitting lid, combine beef, tomato paste, vinegar and flour. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Add onions and potatoes, carrots, garlic, bay leaves, water and stock. Bring to a boil .

Step 4: Cover and place in either slow cooker or oven for 2 2 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves and adjust seasonings.
