Garlic Alfredo Pasta

  • 12 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2:
In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3:
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–40 seconds until fragrant. Do not let it brown.

Step 4:
Pour in heavy cream and milk. Stir well and let it simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.

Step 5:
Add grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 6:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.

Step 7:
Cook for another 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.

Step 8:
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
