Spicy Shrimp Tomato Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 can (14-ounce) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil, chopped

Directions

Step 1:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2:
Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.

Step 3:
Stir in garlic and red chili flakes. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4:
Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 6–8 minutes until slightly thickened.

Step 5:
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked.

Step 6:
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
