Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- Steamed vegetables (broccoli, carrots, or bell peppers)
- Chopped green onions or sesame seeds (for garnish)
Directions
Step 1:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 2:
Add shrimp, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Step 3:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 4:
Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Step 5:
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
Step 6:
Assemble bowls with cooked rice, vegetables, and honey garlic shrimp on top.
Step 7:
Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve warm.
