Ingredients
For the Chicken Meatballs
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
For the Creamy Tomato Sauce
- 1½ cups crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Directions
Step 1:
In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form small meatballs.
Step 2:
Heat olive oil in a pan and brown meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 3:
In the same pan, add olive oil if needed. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
Step 4:
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Add cream and stir until smooth.
Step 6:
Return meatballs to the sauce, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until fully cooked.
Step 7:
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
