Ingredients
- 1½ pounds boneless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill, chopped
Directions
Step 1:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
Step 2:
Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 3:
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and thyme. Cook until lightly browned on all sides.
Step 4:
Lower the heat and stir in the yogurt, mixing gently to avoid curdling.
Step 5:
Simmer for 12–15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce becomes creamy.
Step 6:
Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
