Fresh Garden Salad

Ingredients (Recipe Content)

2 cups lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg), chopped

1 cucumber, sliced

1 tomato, sliced

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup carrots, grated

1/4 cup sweet corn (optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice or vinegar

Salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Step 1:
Wash and dry all vegetables thoroughly.

Step 2:
Chop the lettuce, slice the cucumber and tomato, and thinly slice the red onion.

Step 3:
In a large bowl, combine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, carrots, and sweet corn.

Step 4:
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice (or vinegar), salt, and black pepper.

Step 5:
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat evenly.

Step 6:
Serve immediately for best freshness.
