Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cups mushrooms (button or shiitake), sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
Teriyaki Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Directions
Step 1:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Pan-fry tofu until golden on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 2:
In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until soft and lightly browned.
Step 3:
Add garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 4:
In a bowl, mix all teriyaki sauce ingredients.
Step 5:
Pour sauce into skillet and simmer until slightly thickened.
Step 6:
Add tofu back to the skillet and toss gently to coat.
Step 7:
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
